Recently we held our annual “CLV careers fair” in school and it was a much welcomed return to an in person event following 2 years of virtual engagements due to Covid-19.
Students in years 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13 were all in attendance at various points throughout the day where a range of organisations from across the region had given up their time to speak to students about career opportunities and entry requirements into their organisation and sector.
The organisations that attended were a mixture of ones in the public and private sector that included:
- Northumberland County Council.
- Northumbria, Sheffield, Teesside and Leeds Beckett Universities.
- PWC.
- Sage.
- JCT600.
- Northern powergrid.
- Bellway.
- Draeger.
- Piramal.
- The Army.
- British Engines.
- Equans.
- Spitfire AA.
- The NHS.
- Red engineering.
- Muckle LLP.
- Renolit.
- BL hairdressing.
- Tyne North Training.
There was a real sense of excitement throughout the day as students were given time to explore careers that they were interested in and speak first hand to representatives from those organisations who were on hand to answer any questions and inform of potential opportunities.
A huge thank you to all of the organisations above who so kindly agreed to attend this event and offer those students who attended a fantastic insight into the world of work.
