After a turbulent 3yrs of no shows, including being sent home the week before our 2020 production, it was no surprise that the Music & Theatre Productions company was eager to tread the boards again!
This year saw a sensation return by reinventing Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat with a strong 80’s and Vegas vibe.
The company consisted of some incredible talent!! The beautiful vocals and sparkly outfits of our two ‘Hannah’s’ as Narrators consistently drove the show forward with effortless flair. Meanwhile our protagonist Joseph, played by Jacob L, was dragged away by ‘Men in Black’ Ishmaelites, seduced by Potiphar’s wife and locked up in a cell of chorus members. Attacked by his dastardly brother’s and teaming up with our very own narcissistic Elvis Pharaoh (played by Ethan B), Joseph had a turbulent 70minutes of stage time!!!
To say we are proud of these students this year is an understatement. A chorus ensemble filled with enthusiasm and smiles, dancers busting out the fanciest of moves and supporting performers switching between company members, production crew and token character parts. Amateur company…no way…these guys are professional to their core!
A special mention goes out to our backstage crew assisting with lighting and set painting beforehand then attending every night to ensure props, set and costumes were changed with ease and professionalism. CLV students are a cut above the rest and we are honoured to share these annual experiences with them, helping them to shine their brightest!
