Cramlington Learning Village produced an excellent set of GCSE results this year with 70% of all students achieving the benchmark pass grade in both English and Maths. 78% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English and 78% also achieved this standard in Maths. In Maths, almost one quarter of all students achieved a grade 7 or above.
Two-thirds of students achieved the benchmark of 5 standard passes or above with at least a grade 4 in English and Maths.
There were some spectacular individual performances with 20 students achieving 8 or more grades of A*/A/7/8/9, including triplets, Erin, Niamh and Ella Robson, who between them amassed 27 grades of A*/A/7/8/9.
Mrs Heslop, headteacher, said, ‘This is a very pleasing set of results for the school. The new exams in many subjects have been challenging for both students and staff and they have performed incredibly well. I am delighted with the results of the whole year group, which reflect their hard work and commitment.’
