Our students celebrated another excellent set of A Levels result this Thursday. Despite a national dip, Cramlington’s overall pass rate improved to 99.4%. Nearly half of students gained the top grades with many gaining a whole string of A* and A grades and some with full marks in modules. N Ezhilchelvan gained 4A*’s and is off to Nottingham to study Medicine, ‘It’s been hard work but I’m really looking forward to the next stage’. Students are heading off to universities all over the UK to study everything from astrophysics to politics.
There was also success at AS Level: L Foggett and R Banerjee gained 5 A grades and eight students gaining all top grades.
Headteacher Wendy Heslop said, ‘We are proud of our young people who have worked hard for these results. We look forward to hearing of their successes in the future.’
